Wellspring welcomes our new Writers-In-Residency!

Aubrey Crosby and John T. Howard join the Wellspring Family! 

We’re thrilled to welcome our new Writers-in-Residence, Aubrey Crosby and John T. Howard to the Wellspring House Retreat for Writers.

Aubrey CrosbyAubrey Crosby is currently at work on a poetry chapbook and a collection of short stories. Her poems and fiction have appeared online and in print in The Quill Magazine (2014), Toledo Poetry Project (2014), Eclipse Literary Magazine (2014), Harbinger Asylum (2019), Barnhouse (2019), Exit 7 (2019), and was named a featured poet for Cuyahoga County Library’s National Poetry Month celebration (April 2019).She teaches several composition courses at mid-Western universities and is also the Program Coordinator for the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing. She holds degrees from Siena Heights University (B.A.), the University of Toledo (M.A.), and is currently earning her Ph.D in Composition and Rhetoric at Kent State University. 

John Howard

John T. Howard holds an MFA in Creative Writing  from Indiana University. He is originally from Long Island, New Yorkand has worked as a toy designer, a trademark researcher, and a bar back. Most recently, he was as a Visiting Writer at Siena Heights University, where he also served as Managing Editor for Eclipse, an arts and literary journal produced by Siena Heights undergraduate students. He is also the Assistant Director for the Martha’s Vineyard Institute of Creative Writing. He is at work on a collection of short stories and a novel that explores his own Colombian heritage through the vantage point of a Colombian-American narrator growing up on the East Coast.
